total genius

Do you ever get ideas or poems or sentences that just pop into your head & they are amazing & if you don't write them down they disappear & then if you try to write them down a few minutes later they are not the same, they are gone, the golden magic is gone? & you realize that you should have written it down in the moment because it was total genius?

Today I suddenly starting rapping in the kitchen. I've never really rapped before, but I just rapped. Freestyle. It was pretty good and easy and somehow I was just rhyming without thinking. Maybe I'm a rapper and I don't know it. The chorus of the rap was "I never knew what to think when I wasn't inside the light". And the best line that I think that came out of me was:

I start fires
like drunk coal miners.
